July 14, 2009

This sunny day in Victoria was a great one for whale watching. Our first trips headed out bright and early at 9:00 to go up north to spend time with a magnificent group of Orca Whales. Almost all three of our resident pods were in the same area so there was a massive group of upwards of 50 whales for our passengers to watch. Lots of whales = lots of fun! Later in the afternoon the remainder of L-Pod was seen coming inwards towards Victoria so we're hoping tomorrow will be another fun day out on the water.

Our Zodiac Adventure tours from Vancouver have kicked off this week with eager passengers getting to view some of the coastal wildlife, such as bald eagles and seals. In addition to the wildlife these tours get a unique look at the remote Indian Arm that is only reachable by boat.
