The 3.30pm Ocean Magic with Capt.Tyler and expert crew of Naturalists, Mika, Marnie and Liz, took our guests on board over to San Juan Island where K pod had been reported. We found the whales spread out with some members of the pod hugging the shoreline and others off shore. They were travelling slowly along the westside of San Juan Island. 'Cappuccino', K21 a male, was soon identified. L87, a male from L pod was also seen with this group. It appeared he preferred the company of K pod girls than females in his own pod. California Gulls are now being seen on the water as they migrate through this area. Although the sun was hidden behind the clouds for a while during this trip our guests still enjoyed their encounter with these magical ORCA.Marie "Orca-Magic"
