Saturdays Ocean Magic 9am Wildlife Adventure was a set against blue skies and calm seas. Our veteran Captain Shaun "Saltchuck" with over 21 years experience on the BC coastal waters had the Ocean Magic headed east out of Victoria's harbor. Our search was for Orca, the apex predator of the worlds oceans. Our search pattern took us past Trial Island and on to San Juan Island. It wasn't long before he came out with the news we all wanted to hear, "Orca up ahead!" He then carefully positioned the Ocean Magic and we took in the sights of L Pod as they past by us. With our hydrophone in the water we were treated to the sounds of the Orca as they worked past our position. Just a picture perfect adventure with Prince Of Whales!!Clint "Orcawizard"
