Zodiac Wildlife Adventure Aug 14 9am

Friday August 14th, 9am Zodiac trip took us east and north from the harbour. The weather had clouded in but the rain held off. Our skilful and knowledgeable Skipper, Mark ' Mallard ' took our guests from Australia, Germany and Ontario up Haro Strait where we encountered four Transient Killer Whales off Turn Point. We followed them to Moresby and Coal Island while they traveled and searched for seals along the shoreline. They were identified as the T 18's. The large bull, T 19B was interesting to watch as his dorsal fin was rather large based and wobbly. Our encounter with these top predators was fascinating. On route back to the harbour we found Cormorants , Heermann's Gulls, and Harbour Seals at Zero Rock. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the incredible scenery this part of the west coast has to offer. Another wonderful wildlife adventure with 'Prince of Whales'.
