L's, Ocean Magic Adventure 3:30
Today after visiting the MANY sealions hauled out barking and fighting for rock at Race Rocks (who by the way enlightened passengers with quite the aroma), we found ourselves with Lpod spread very far and wide in the Juan de Fuca Strait. We caught up to Mega L41 who was traveling with relative L25 (i think) and after that Skana L79 with his mother L22. The animals were spread apart traveling eastbound in pairs taking very long dives. For the most part they traveled across the Victoria waterfront, giving passengers a lovely opportunity to photograph the animals with the skyline in the background. We sure didn't have to travel far today, what a luxury to have such beautiful killer whales in our own very back yard. I love my job :)
