The 12.15pm Ocean Magic 2 vessel, Sept. 3rd, with an all girl crew on board, took us toward the west, past the most southerly point of Vancouver Island at Race Rocks. Our experienced Capt. Anna, continued our search along the rugged coastline of the west and found the two Transient Orca, the mammal eating Killer Whales that had been reported earlier. These two, a male and female were identified as the T 11's. They were making their way slowly out west. Our return trip found a few fast moving Dall's Porpoise, Common Murres, Harbour Seals, California and Steller Sea Lions at Race Rocks Ecological Reserve. Our attentive and knowledgeable crew along with some mild weather, made for another wonderful wildlife adventure here on the west coast.
