With the continued sunny weather and mild temperatures on the west coast, the 'Prince of Whales ' Wildlife adventures continue to bring excitement for our many international guests visiting Victoria. The fun filled trips either on the Ocean Magic vessel or in a yellow Zodiac are a great addition to the Fall holidays. Saturday's 12.15pm 'Ocean Magic 2 ' trip took us out west in a little wind and wave. We explored the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island looking for 'whales', but they were illusive. However, we did find a Bald Eagle and some Harbour Seals on Church Rock. A wide sweep out in to the Strait of Juan de Fuca came up empty so we headed toward Race Rocks Ecological Reserve to take in the sights and sounds of many California and Steller Sea Lions. Although we has no sightings of whales this trip we were able to observe many gulls at several ' bait-balls' where many small fish gathered.
