The 12.15 Ocean Magic left the dock with Capt Shaun in the wheel-house. With ' Mika', our experienced Biologist on board, our guests were in for a real treat this afternoon. Although the sun hid behind the clouds today, the sea was flat calm on our adventure to find the Orca. We headed east and then north up Haro Strait, where we encountered several small groups of Harbour Porpoises enjoying the small waves at tide lines. There was plenty of sea bird life around as well as gulls and Bald Eagles. At East Point we were able to locate the two Orca from K pod that had been reported earlier. It looked like a mom with her calf, born in 2004. ( K 20 and K 38 ). The Orca headed off out of reach, so the OM headed back to Victoria where our guests disembarked with big smiles on their faces. It was another great wildlife adventure.'
