'Todays Zodiac trips, the10 am and 2pm were skippered by our experienced driver, Mark "Mallard". All our international travellers on board enjoyed the sunny weather and calm seas. We soon found a Humpback whale just south of Albert Head. It was a very illusive animal taking deep dives. We spent some time at this spot and then headed toward Race Rocks to experience the noisy Steller and California Sea Lions. Several were in the water enjoying a romp amongst the bull kelp. One was seen chomping on a fish, A quick scout along the Metchosin shoreline revealed three Bald Eagles. We soon got reports of three other Humpbacks heading east toward scenic Mt.Baker. We spent time with these huge whales while one or two sea lions played with them. Once again our time on the water was most exciting. Discovering the abundant wildlife on the west coast can be very rewarding . Photos by Marie "Orca-Magic"
