Ocean Magic Adventure; Humpbacks & Sealions

It's October? I swear it's August today! Incredible out on the water!!! Only just minutes from the Victoria harbour and there are 5 humpbacks together, interacting with sealions! Bart / Cleaver (a 3 year old male?) was seen together with 4 other humpbacks grouped up in what seemed to be a very playful engagement with sealions. Lots of popping out of the water, flukes, tails, flippers, heads, etc. It was an exceptional thing to have witnessed! The 5 humpbacks slip apart when a large vessel moved through the area, after that we then moved along to Race Rocks to observe the various pinnipeds present there which include California and Stellar sealions and harbour seals. The lighthouse was looking nice and shiny with her new restoration / paint coat. On our way back to Victoria, we saw some Dalls porpoise milling about, they are a more shy and smaller cetacean. Today's viewing of the humpbacks and sealions together was heart warming and special for all on board. I am so grateful for all the amazing wildlife residing along side of our own city of Victoria. Not many cities can say the same. =)
