Ocean Magic Wildlife Adventure Oct 2 12:15pm

'The Ocean Magic 2 vessel with Capt. Tyler in the wheel-house and crew members, Derek, Scott and Mika on board, headed out east and across Haro Strait to catch up with a few members of K pod. They were encountered north of Lime Kilm Park, San Juan Island, and traveling slowly toward Kellet Bluff. Accompanying K 11 'Georgia ', the oldest female of K Pod, was one L Pod male, L 87 'Onyx ' who enjoys being part of K Pod and not his own, L Pod. We watched other members of the Southern Resident fish eating Orca, foraging closer to shore. Our time with these magnificent mammals was soon over so headed back to Victoria in hopes of relocating a Humpback Whale that had been spotted by an earlier Zodiac. It wasn't to be, but a Bald Eagle and several cormorants were seen on the return trip. A new month has begun and the Killer Whales can still be seen most days. Join 'Prince of Whales ' for another fun filled wildlife trip.
