Zodiac Adventure Aug 12 11:30am
With Beamer taking the helm on the 11.30 Zodiac we travelled over some lumpy water to encounter individual members of L-Pod. They were spread out along the shore of San Juan Island. We were suddenly surprised by an orca breaching fairly close to the Zodiac. A nature trip through Chatham, Discovery and the Chain Islets gave us good looks at Harbour Seal and the nesting birds. Beamer explain to those on board how interesting and vital the Bull Kelp is to the health of the waters around the Victoria area. Another fascinating trip to experience some of the marine life on the west coast. Photos by Marie "Ocra-Magic"
