Calm waters and blue skies were the order of the day. The passengers on the 12.15pm Ocean Magic trip were thrilled to see J pod, the resident orca, meander past slowly at San Juan Island. Some were foraging while others moved northward. A visit to Chain Islets on our return gave us glimpses of Glaucous-winged Gull chicks, Pigeon Guillemots, Cormorants and Harbour Seals with pups. The west coast scenery is spectacular especially on a sunny day.
