It was one of those fabulous days when J, K and L Pods, the southern resident orca, caught up with one another. A whole lot of playful behaviours were observed by passengers on the 12.15 sailing of the Ocean Magic. We found several members inshore and offshore San Juan Island. One enthusiastic female breached repeatedly close to the boat to the sheer joy and amazement of all those on board. The 'boys' were happy to see the 'girls' and one young orca rubbed itself between two females. Another magical day with orca on the west coast.Photo's by Marie "Orca-Magic"
