Today we traveled a fair distance to catch up with almost all of the southern resident killer whales who were making their way north towards the Georgia Strait. We found most of the 3 pods traveling in small groups at high speed along the Pender Island shoreline. Some high speed porpoising, spy hopping, a few breaches, a spy hop, some tail slaps, cart wheels and even what appeared to be some courting behavior. Glorious weather and water today.
